The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has found that aerosolized nicotine, flavorants, chemicals, and other harmful particles of
e-cigarettes could potentially affect a person’s lungs and lead to lung damage.

MYTH: E-Cigarettes are safe.
FACT: E-cigarettes are SAFER than cigarettes but that doesn’t mean that they are safe or harmless. It can still contain harmful chemicals that can cause adverse health effects.

MYTH: Vaping helps people quit smoking.
FACT: E-cigarettes are not currently approved by the FDA as a cessation smoking aid. Although, e-cigarettes may help adults who smoke if used as a complete substitute for all cigarettes and other smoked tobacco products. Dual use is not an effective way to reduce adverse health effects.
