TFHNJ's SMOKE-FREE HOUSING PLEDGE
Who are We?

Tobacco Free for a Healthy NJ (TFHNJ) works to increase opportunities for Smoke-Free living for all New Jersey residents. We accomplish this by providing assistance to housing authorities, property managers, and landlords who want to implement or improve their Smoke-Free Housing policy, reduce costs attributed to smoking and improve the health of their residents.

Why Take the Pledge?

Tobacco use doesn’t just hurt the user, but it also harms the people and animals around them. Secondhand smoke and the Aerosol from Electronic Nicotine Delivery Systems (ENDS) omit heavy metals, toxins and cancer causing chemicals.
There is no safe level of exposure to secondhand smoke or aerosol. Babies and children and even pets exposed to secondhand smoke can suffer from health risks such as sudden infant death syndrome, lung illnesses, ear infections, and asthma attacks.
